Hospital of Stomatology Affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University

Founded in 1975, the Hospital of Stomatology Affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University is an upper first-class stomatology specialist hospital, which provides medical treatment, education and research. The hospital houses 76 beds and 218 dental chairs. It has 13 inpatient departments, 11 outpatient departments and 6 medical auxiliary departments, among which the orthodontics department is a national key nurturing clinical specialty, the maxillofacial surgery department is a Shaanxi key discipline (one of the first authorized disciplines for conferring master's degrees in China), and the departments of oral medicine and prosthodontics are Shaanxi advantageous specialties.

With its state-of-the-art facilities, the hospital provides a list of world-class diagnosis and treatment services including invisible corrective surgery, microsurgical treatment of root canals, craniofacial reconstruction and reconstruction with surgical navigation, sequence therapy of cleft lip and palate, implant and repair surgery, immediate all-ceramic crown repair surgery, and bone repair surgery for periodontal diseases.

The Hospital of Stomatology houses a Stomatology Medicine Research Center dedicated to research programmes such as cell and molecular biology, histopathology, and three-dimensional digital diagnosis. The hospital is equipped with large precise instruments such as micro-CT imaging systems of small animals, laser scanning confocal microscopes, ABI gene analyzers, 3D printing systems and three-dimensional oral scanning systems, over-speed centrifuges, and BOSE cell dynamic cultivation systems. The hospital is devoted to both basic and clinical stomatology medicine research, and carries out researches including animal experiments, cell cultivation, and studies on macromolecules of protein and nucleic acid.
